Lisbon we are looking for an


Accountant (f/m/d)

Your responsibilities

  • General accounting and bookkeeping
  • Management of monthly journal entries, provisions, and depreciations
  • Management of supporting documentation for accounting entries and supporting files
  • Accounting closings (monthly and yearend)
  • Preparation of tax compliance forms (VAT declarations, CIT/Mod 22, etc.)
  • Reconciliation of accounts: Banks, AP/AR, intercompany figures, etc
  • Responsible to provide guidance to junior team members
  • Design and implementation of analytical accounting: working with coding trees and budgeting items
  • Creation and development of internal financial controls, evaluating their robustness, reasonableness and implementation

Your qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration, ideally with a focus on Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • 24 years of professional experience in accounting or similar positions. Experience in Big4 is considered a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and with a detail oriented working method
  • Organized and methodic, capable of managing several workstreams simultaneous and identify priorities
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel. PowerPoint and Navision is a plus
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English
