- Combine raw information from different sources;
- Analyse and organize raw data;
- Build and maintain data systems and ETL pipelines;
- Monitor and test the pipelines;
- Evaluate business needs and objectives;
- Interpret trends and patterns;
- Conduct complex data analysis and report on results;
- Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability;
- Develop analytical tools and programs;
- Collaborate with data analysts, product managers and other stakeholders on several projects;
- Monitor the cost of data systems.
- Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role;
- Experience in Python language (Object Oriented Programming, unit testing, APIs, etc);
- Knowledge about ETL pipelines;
- Experience with SQL;
- Experience with Airflow;
- Experience with Version Control systems (github, etc);
- Experience working with a columnar database (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake);
- Hands-on experience with dimensional modelling;
- Great analytical skills;
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field; a Master's is a plus;
- Experience working with AWS is a plus;
- Experience working with Heroku is a plus;
- Experience working with dbt is a plus;
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
- Strong problem-solving skills to address data-related challenges efficiently;
- Analytical mindset for evaluating data solutions and making informed decisions;
- A collaborative approach to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team;
