THE LAKHANI GROUP is looking to strengthen its team by recruiting a Tax Accountant.

We are a hotel development and construction group based in Lisbon, specialising in the execution of highly complex hotel construction/refurbishment projects.

Responsibilities:

Preparing tax payments
Calculating and monitoring tax returns
Complete quarterly and annual tax reports
Organise and update the company's tax database
Recommending tax strategies in line with business goals
Prepare the necessary documentation for tax payments and tax returns
Share financial data with the accounting department
Identify tax savings and suggest ways to increase profits
Keep abreast of industry trends and monitor taxrelated changes
Liaise with internal and external auditors
Carry out tax forecasts for senior managers

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst or similarFluency in Portuguese and in English
Knowledge of accounting procedures and tax bookkeeping
Familiarity with accounting software packages
Computer literacy (mainly MS Office and Excel)
Excellent analytical and time management skills
Strong mathematical skills
Attention to detail
Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Industry certification will be favoured
