    THE ROLE

    The Project Designer Manager at Indie Campers will have the mission to create and lead the design identity that fits the company's image of functionality, professionalism and simplicity.

    This person will be responsible for leading the discussion on UX and UI strategy and implementation of design systems for the current and future products of the company (mobile, web, back-office). The role will work hand-in-hand with the product and development teams to maximise the value of what is delivered and ensure the response time and quality of the design needs for each sprint are being met.

    This position will be based in our office in Lisbon and will manage the product design team.

    WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

    Your main responsibilities will be to:

    • Help guide our overall strategy through discussion and focused implementation.
    • Lead our overall company visual identity.
    • Lead the discussion on UX and UI strategy and implementation.
    • Balance speed and quality, with a focus on tangible results.
    • Partner closely with our product and development teams to maximise the value of what is delivered.
    • Commit to constant learning and improvement.
    • Be the main responsible for the Design team deliverables quality and speed.

    WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

    • 5+ years of Product Design work.
    • Experience Managing a product design team.
    • Experience in ecommerce and digital product development companies/environments.
    • Experienced working on:
      • Desktop based web applications;
      • Mobile native applications;
      • Mobile web applications.
    • Experience building a Design System and creating storyboards.
    • Used to making data driven design decisions.
    • Experience with client research and A/B Testing.
    • Knowledge of web design tools - photoshop, figma, etc.
    • Experience working with Jira is a plus
    • Good communication skills.
