WHAT YOU DO
Additional duties will include negotiation and review of transactional agreements between the company, its clients, and its service providers. You will assist in negotiating and creating contracts providing a beneficial solution for both Equus and the client. This position requires shrewd negotiation skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to translate complex terminology into plain language. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, closing, processing, and filing our contracts. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with the terms of those contracts and applicable laws.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft, review, and negotiate new and existing contracts within the established contract guidelines
  • Answer security and data privacy questionnaires and surveys
  • Create language standards for existing and new contracts
  • Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms
  • Ensure that all contracts are accurate and up to date, including compliance, renewals, and reviews
  • Explain terms and conditions to interested parties
  • Ensure that employees understand and comply with company contracts
  • Write contract letters and other communications and notices
  • Maintain an organized system of physical and digital records
  • Attend meetings to assess progress on projects which are in motion, and take detailed notes to share with stakeholders
  • Stay uptodate with applicable laws and regulations
  • Expert knowledge of global data privacy requirements
  • Proven experience in a contract administration role or a related field
  • Knowledge of contract law, accounting principles, and finance
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills
  • Strong negotiation and mediation skills
  • Superior attention to detail to spot inconsistencies in contracts and other errors
  • Strong experience in customer service and strong communication skills
  • Able to work productively independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent analytical thinking skills and problemsolving abilities
  • Fluent in English

REQUIREMENTS

NICE TO HAVE

  • CIPP, CIPM, CIPT or other relevant certifications offered by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) are strongly preferred.
  • Experience as a project manager or experience coordinating large projects
  • Experience in technology (software licensing, software as a service, etc.) or other fastpaced evolving industries
  • Experience with the rules and regulations regarding data privacy, personal data, and the international transfer of that data.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in a related field
  • Certifications in lieu of a degree will be considered
