As a Lead Application Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of our project delivery, responsible for leading and ensuring the successful execution of application and software engineering projects. Your expertise in managing budgets, timelines, resources, and scopes will be crucial in delivering high-quality outcomes that exceed client expectations.

What you'll do:

· Managing and mitigating issues and risks associated with the project, expertly balancing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks through formal change management mechanisms

· Developing and maintaining a comprehensive project work plan, incorporating controls and governance structures to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality outcomes

· Ensuring accurate development and traceability of requirements throughout the project life-cycle

· Leading the change enablement process to facilitate smooth project transitions and drive business value

· Managing client expectations, providing updates, and securing buy-in, effectively representing Avanade in governance meetings

· Overseeing Avanade and subcontractor staff assigned to the project, guiding their performance and career growth

· Assisting in the sales process by estimating work effort and expenses using Avanade's standard tools

Skills and Experiences

· A solid understanding of contract terms and interpretation, complemented by exceptional customer expectations management skills

· Proficiency in project management methods, tools, and techniques, complemented by a working knowledge of Microsoft platform technologies and In-depth expertise in Microsoft Project and Team Foundation Server (TFS), enabling precise project tracking and control

· A good understanding of Earned Value reporting to ensure project financial performance

· A results-oriented mindset, with an ability to drive change in an unstructured environment

· Effective client interface and presentation abilities, complemented by outstanding business acumen

· While not required, having a Project Management Institute (PMI) PMP certification and a Bachelor's degree in a business or technology-related field will be advantageous. We value a combination of hands-on expertise and educational background to achieve excellence in our projects.

· Ideal candidates will likely have strong consulting project management experience, coupled with direct on and offshore people management experience. This blend of experience will enable you to effectively lead and mentor teams while delivering impactful projects.
