Job Purpose


Identifies and implements Haworth Management System (HMS) (Haworth equivalent of Toyota Production System [TPS]) principles and continuous improvement processes, training, facilitation, and assessment to drive business improvements.

Assures programs are of highest quality to ensure success of program. Help implementing Process work will be required across every segment of value stream.


A glimpse of your daily mission

  • As part of core group of corporate Continuous Improvement Champion (including across regions), works at every level of organization to implement HMS principles and drive continuous improvement across every functional area.
  • Leads kaizen events achieving measurable financial and organizational improvement.
  • Leads and organize yearly audit within the European organization.
  • Develops depth in the organization that creates and leads a Continuous Improvement culture.
  • Designs, develops, and/or research new HMS principles or improvements to facilitate continuous improvement across operations, logistic, customer service, sales, and administration.
  • Provides comprehensive program for training, implementation, facilitation, and assessment to ensure implementation success.
  • Coordinates and plans resources for training, including preparing and ordering training materials, scheduling, and budget management; delivers and evaluates training to ensure members and managers are integrating HMS principles.
  • Analyzes program progress, utilizing problem solving and assessments to understand areas for continuous improvement of HMS programs.
  • Reports to Operations Leadership regarding team performance, implementation schedules, performance to measures, and assessments of status of HMS or Continuous Improvement Process.
  • Maintains uptodate, stateoftheart knowledge of HMS techniques. Shares information with other members via training and/or daytoday contact to maintain most efficient environment possible.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Five years related experience, with demonstrated deployment of HMS concepts that drive improvements in operationally excellent environment.
  • Five years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment as an advantage.
  • Exposure to and working knowledge of Total Business Management (TBM), Shingijitsu, Simpler, Toyota, Honda, or Shingo Award strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (MS Dynamics preferred) and Project Management tools are plus.
