Opportunity to join a fast-growing company, in a favourable period of expansion such as renewable energy in Portugal.
The main task of the Junior Project Management Engineer consists of the detailed preparation of wind projects and their management of licensing processes, from their initial phase of identification and promotion, development, design, and calculation of the project to the final 'ready-to-build' phase.
The Engineer will assist in the management of the company's wind energy processes in Portugal, initially contributing to the identification of new areas for the development of future projects, preparing the respective electrical projects and moving towards their licensing processes.
This opportunity, for those interested, contributes to the acquisition of skills in the electrical sector and Renewable Energy in Portugal, more specifically in the field of Wind Energy.
Main roles:
- Work in the development and construction of wind farms projects, being involved from the design phase to the commissioning of the projects in Portugal;
- Manage large scale wind farms projects, in some cases in combination with storage or other technologies, across the different phases of the projects, with the support of the technical expert team;
- Identify new projects and start new greenfield projects in Portugal;
- Provide technical support along the different phases of the project (feasibility, design, permitting, tendering for construction);
- Lead the licensing processes with entities from the beginning phase until readytobuild;
- Control internal costs to make sure the job is done within the budget established;
- Carry out wind farms design coordination, design review on different aspects of the projects (civil, electrical, mechanical);
- Supervise the construction, control the quality and ensure construction works run smoothly and on time.
Your profile:
- Educational background in Engineering, ideally in Electrical Engineering;
- 1 to 2 years of professional experience in similar roles;
- Experience in the wind farm projects sector in Portugal.
- Fluent in English;
- Project Management skills;
- Expertise in electricity, particularly in grid connection;
- Knowledge of the main design software's applicable to renewable projects and in project management (MS Project);
- Familiar with the Portuguese permitting framework for energy projects;
- Organized and able to manage several projects at the same time;
- Willingness to travel occasionally in Portugal.
