Universidade Lusófona through the Talent Management Department intends to recruit a Science and Technology Manager for the Research Centre - RCM2+ (Asset Management and Systems Engineering)


Universidade Lusófona , with two campuses, one located in the center of Lisbon and other in the center of Porto, is the largest private university in Portugal. Since 1998, its objectives have been "to teach and conduct research in the various fields of science, culture and technology, from an interdisciplinary perspective and, especially, in order to promote the development of Portuguese-speaking countries and peoples".

Job/position:
Science and Technology Management Contract (Bachelor ́s/master)

General Scientific Area:
Bachelor ́s or master degree in engineering or management.

An open call is being launched for a fixed-term 8-month/renewable


Admission Requirements:


  • Bachelor and/or master;
  • Training and/or proven experience in management functions in science and technology or project management;
  • Knowledge and experience in national and international funding programs (FCT, Horizonte Europa, Portugal 2030, Erasmus Plus, PRR);
  • International Experience;
  • Experience in science management and communication;
  • Oral and written skills in Portuguese and English;
  • Domain of computer tools.

Work Plan:


  • Support to RCM2+ activities;
  • Survey of national and European funding opportunities;
  • Support in the administrative, technical and financial management of approved financing, including budget and financial management, registration and archiving of deliverables and other administrative documents in accordance with funding rules, scheduling meetings, preparing minutes;
5. management of the website, social netwoks, dissemination of knowledge and other communication campaigns;

  • Support for the organization of seminars, conferences, workshops and other events and national and international scientific exchanges;
  • Management of internal and external database of scientific information;
  • Elaboration of technical and scientific reports;
  • Support and monitoring of the RCM2+'s institutional evaluation processes.

Conditions of employment:

a) Fixed term contract of 8 months, renewable.

Work Schedule:
from Monday to Friday, from 9h00 to 18h00 in hybrid regime.

Selection method:


Criteria for assessing the curricular assessment:

  • Final classification in each of the academic degrees;
  • Proven knowledge of national legislation relating to higher education and science;
  • Proven knowledge of national and international funding models for scientific research;
  • Experience in the submission and management of R&D projects;
  • Experience in recruitment processes of human resources for R&D activities.

Criteria for assessing the evaluation of the interview:

  • Interpersonal skills;
  • Outlining a brief strategic plan for raising adequate funding for RCM2+.
