This role will involve accounting and reporting responsibilities, month end close duties, assisting with the preparation of budgets/forecasts, cash management, and consolidation of financial reports as well as ad hoc projects.

The Corporate Finance Controller - Analyst/Associate will be a member of the Corporate Finance team.


Responsibilities

  • Month End Close Accounting
  • Coordinating with International Corporate Finance team, as well as with external accounting firms, to ensure books are closed and financials are prepared on a timely and accurately basis
  • Assist in reviewing the books and records to ensure accuracy for the international subsidiaries and consolidated international financials
  • Revenue Reporting
  • Understand fund structure and fees associated with international funds
  • Meet and discuss cross functionally with other departments in the organization
  • Report and organize trails associated with funds as applicable
  • Cash Management and Reconciliation
  • Reconciling and recording all entries associated with international cash accounts.
  • Monitoring cash needs of international subsidiaries.
  • Control of operating expenses and other cash transfers.

  • Assist of the coordination of multiple departments to complete assignments that require collaboration, including providing financial data
  • Assist in completing special projects as needed and performing adhoc finance research and reporting processes
  • Identify and remediate process gaps and implementing effective internal controls; improve documentation of internal control processes
years of corporate accounting/public accounting experience within the financial services industry. Familiarity with Alternative Investments would be preferred

  • Understanding of GAAP reporting
  • Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite and/or General Ledger systems (i.e., PeopleSoft, Axiom) preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of booking journal entries and the resulting impact to the financial statements
  • Fund accounting experience preferred but not required
  • Degree in Accounting required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage large sets of data and be able to implement checks and balances
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detailed oriented with big picture capability
  • Ability to interpret legal/fund documents
  • Ability to take on new, challenging assignments on a spontaneous basis
