The Vice-Rectoratefor Communication, Digitalization and Diversity is seeking to filla full-time, permanent position as Head of Information Security andInformation Security Officer (f/m/d) with a regular working week ofcurrently 39 hours and 50 minutes as soon as possible.

Your main tasks

• You will manage the Information Securitydepartment and become an Information Security Officer.
• You will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing theuniversity's information security status and documenting theresults.
• You will provide advice andtraining on information security issues for employees and students.
• You are responsible for updating theuniversity's information security concept as well as processes formonitoring and ensuring the legally compliant and dataprotection-compliant use and security-related design of ITresources.
• You will lead the analysis andmonitoring of information security incidents, manage the ComputerEmergency Response Team (CERT) in the event of an incident andhandle internal (management level) and external (authorities)communication.
• You are involved in risk andemergency management in the area of information security
• You will be involved in business processeswith an impact on information processing and in the introduction ofnew IT systems and IT applications.

Your professional profile

Required are

• Completed scientific university degree (universitydiploma or master's degree) in a subject qualifying for thisposition, preferably in the field of information security, computerscience, engineering or with a legal focus or a relevant universitydegree (FH diploma or bachelor's degree), preferably in one of theabove subjects, in conjunction with several years of relevantprofessional experience or relevant training in conjunction withfurther training in the field of IT security and many years ofrelevant professional experience
• Strongleadership skills and ideally also management experience
• Very good knowledge of the BSI IT baselineprotection compendium
• Very good knowledge ofthe ISO/IEC 27000 series
• Knowledge in thefield of information security and the willingness to continuouslydeepen this knowledge

Desirableare

• Experience in the applicationof relevant standards of the Federal Office for InformationSecurity, in particular the IT Basic Compendium
• Good knowledge of the IT basic protection profile foruniversities of the ZKI
• Experience withtools for documenting and managing information security
• Certification in the area of information security
• Knowledge of the design and operation of ITinfrastructures and security mechanisms at network, operatingsystem and application level
• Experience withuniversity structures, university organizational procedures andadministrative processes
