Data Engineering is all about making sure that the organizational data, coming from both internal and external sources, is stored, processed and analysed as effectively and efficiently as possible.

Being a Data Engineer means having a deep understanding of techniques and technologies to create data products responsible for storing and processing data at scale, while ensuring that the data provides the utmost value to any analytical activity in the organization, generating unprecedented insights and value.

The goal of this internship is to integrate the Lakehouse foundations team to build data products that compose the observability of the data Lakehouse platform, including several metrics, insights and alerts, such as usage of the platform and its tools, compute usage, storage usage, most valuable data assets, most underused data assets, data quality indicators, schema changes indicators, amongst many others.

- WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING AND HOW WILL DEVELOP YOURSELF?- Develop data engineering skills by creating data products using state-of-the-art frameworks built on Spark

Interact with a data engineering team working at scale in multiple domains and journeys (data engineering, data science and data analysis)
Contribute to data engineering frameworks with small features/enhancements or documentation
Improve communication skills as a data engineer by contacting several peers and stakeholders at a global level
Learn data engineering best practices that will allow you to perform data engineering tasks at scale and in a distributed way
Help the adidas data engineering team provide more value by collaborating with other data engineers to produce at least 1 new data asset or framework feature for adidas
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO QUALIFY?
Proficient spoken and written command of English
You're currently enrolled in a local college (Licenciatura or Mestrado) and you're looking for a curricular internship
You know the basics of data engineering and can code (Python, SQL, etc) on a semiindependent level
