Field specialist for metallographic analyses & non-destructive testing (NDT)
As member of our international field service teams, you will be assigned (worldwide) to our job at our

customers' power plants and at our service locations.


How You'll Make an Impact

  • Performing macroetching and create microstructure replica, whose quality you check on your own under the microscope you help to control longterm damage of critical power plant components.
  • You will be responsible for the preparation, execution, and followup of nondestructive tests on turbine and generator components in power plants (worldwide)
  • By documenting your work results and findings you support Engineering colleagues to assess component
- lifetime.


What You Bring

  • Training and experience creating qualified microstructural impressions (mobile component
- metallography/replica) and microstructure evaluation on components with a focus on ferrous materials

  • Knowledge of and practical experience with NDT testing methods (e.g., VT / PT /MT /ET / UT / RT or RT film evaluation), certification according to ISO 9712, preferred.
  • High degree of flexibility for changes in planning at short notice
  • Ability and willingness to travel worldwide.
  • You are fluent in English (written and spoken) and can adapt to foreign cultures.
  • Basic skills in the handling of modern communication technology and knowledge in MS office

We are a DIN EN ISO 17025 accredited NDT testing laboratory mainly located in Mülheim an der Ruhr,

Germany.

Our team of highly qualified specialists is part of the Siemens Energy service organization for power plant turbine generator sets.

Our focus is on highly stressed components of power plant turbine sets.
