I have been a Consultant Doctor in the NHS for 16 years and recently moved to Madeira with my husband.

I had hoped to continue practising remotely however that is proving very difficult due to legal issues after Brexit.

I am therefore hoping to change career to indulge my lifelong passion for travel. Whether it’s planning and designing itineraries, advising friends on potential holidays and pouring over brochures and guidebooks, I have been lucky to visit over 50 countries including Peru, Nepal, Cambodia, South Africa, Chile, Indonesia, Maldives and Egypt to name a few. I have camped and I have stayed in 5 star hotels. I have taken overnight 3rd class trains and flown business class. I have trecked and rafted, but also cruised and had tailor made tours. I therefore feel my personal travel experiences and transferable skills from medicine (ability to learn quickly and operate under pressure, highly organised and reliable, responsible, approachable, compassionate and able to deal with people from all backgrounds) would be useful in a role such as this.

NHS Consultant Radiologist since 2007. Recently relocated to Madeira. 

Honours Science Degree, Medical degree (both University of Glasgow) and specialist post graduate degrees (MRCP and FRCR).
