Hello, I’m Sarah an eighteen years of experienced freelance illustrator and graphic designer that draws inspiration from travel and different cultures. My creativity thrives in exploration and questioning, reflected in my colorful and fun style, evident in my children's book illustrations.

I’m also an author illustrator, known for combining sweetness with a touch of the bizarre, creating visual striking narratives. I work with various hand illustration techniques, from watercolor to china ink and mixed media approaches.

I also offer branding and visual identity services, print design, animation development, and other graphic design materials. My software skills include: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop e InDesign.

I believe that what sets me apart is my versatility and adaptability, allowing me to approach each project uniquely while maintaining my creative identity. I prioritize meeting the client's expectations and needs, considering his involvement a fundamental part of the dynamic construction process.

My professional journey encompasses valuable experience at renowned studios and agencies like Nerve Atelier de Design, Prime Advertising, Add - Comunicação, and Omlet Design (until 2019), alongside my freelance work. 

My client portfolio features esteemed organizations such as UNICEF, Boehringer Ingelheim Portugal, EPAL - Grupo Águas de Portugal, Casa de Mateus, CPLP, Centro de Interpretação da Batalha de Aljubarrota (CIBA), the Government of the Azores, and the Center for Integrative Biology (CBI). 

My diverse skillset includes illustrating Children's books and original artwork, creating illustrations for youth Merchandise, developing Scientific illustrations, and comprehensive Graphic design services in Branding & Identity, Visual image, Print design, Animated presentations, Final art, and Digital/Template materials.

A bilingual background (German/Portuguese) following artistic secondary education at António Arroio, I earned a Graphic Design degree from Ar.Co - Centro de Artes e Comunicação Visual in Lisbon (2006) and in 2016 I obtained a Training for Trainers certification from NHK - Formação e Novas Tecnologias in Lisbon.
