Job Description :

Performing inspection and supervision of the material delved on site in accordance with approved subcontractors ITP inspection points and related notifications and material preservation procedure.

Ensuring that storage and preservation of the material is carried out internally or by Subcontractor are in accordance with approved Procedures, Specifications, and relevant codes & Standards to review the relevant document prior to start of construction e.g.

ITP, Project specification, etc.


Duties and Responsibilities:
The Material Engineer is responsible for the implementation of the Material Management System at site. He reports to site QA/QC Manager.

His main responsibilities and duty are to:

• All equipment and materials shall be subject to the issue of an inspection release certificate by the assigned inspector, which shall only be made on satisfactory completion

of all work and testing, acceptance of any deviations, approval of all manufacturing documentation, approval of protection and packing for shipment

• Following inspection release, materials and equipment shall be packed and shipped in accordance with requisition requirements
• Control of Materials Receipt Reports and Non-Conformance Reports (unsatisfactory, overage, shortage) and Damage Reports shall be maintained to ensure corrective action

is taken when necessary

• Ensure that material used in the construction is properly, identified, stored, issued and used in a traceable manner to satisfy fitness for purpose criteria

Work Experience:

• At least 810 years of related work experience in the field of quality assurance and quality control, including 5 years' experience in quality management of construction projects.
• Understanding of O & G documentation and specification review,
• Extensive knowledge of material, Piping, Structure
