As a Tester in theData Product Squad, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team dedicated to developing and enhancing data products.
You will collaborate closely with Developers, Scrum Masters, Data Engineers, Data Modelersand other stakeholders to ensure the quality and reliability of our data-driven solutions.
Your role will involve designing and executing tests, identifying and reporting bugs, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our testing processes.
How the day by day looks like in this job? Collaborate with the product team to understand requirements and define test objectives.
Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for data product features and enhancements. Identify test scenarios and prioritize them based on risk and business impact. Execute various types of tests including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. Conduct exploratory testing to uncover unforeseen issues and validate user experience. Utilize automation tools and scripts to streamline repetitive testing tasks. Thoroughly investigate and analyze test results to identify defects and inconsistencies. Document bugs with clear steps to reproduce, severity, and impact on product functionality. Work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution of identified issues. Champion quality assurance best practices within the squad. Contribute to the refinement and improvement of testing methodologies and processes.For this specific job we need people with:
Proven experience as a software tester or quality assurance engineer, preferably in a data-centric environment. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques. Proficiency in SQL for data validation and querying databases. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile development environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
