- Participate in and contribute to requirements gathering and architecture design.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, engineering leaders and test engineers.
- Understand and apply performance and scalability principles when developing services.
- Document and communicate clearly architecture and implementation solutions.
- Be the service owner by instrumenting performance metrics
- 2 - 5 years of industry experience in Java or Python development
- Good knowledge and experience with modern enterprise frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot.
- Hands on experience in designing and implementing scalable, high performing microservices providing REST APIs.
- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum team.
- Positive, self-motivated and enthusiastic attitude with a strong sense of ownership.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with any public cloud platform is a plus.
- Be willing to participate in an on call rota
