Joana Matos Lopes

My name is Joana Matos Lopes, I am 32 years old, I live in Faro, Portugal, I have a degree in management, where my final project was about entrepreneurship, and a master's degree in health management, where my final project was about the development of a Balanced Scorecard in a private hospital.

I started a new project, in April 2022, as Operational Director in a reproduction clinic in Faro, Fertimed,Lda., where I am responsible for the strategic transformation and development of the clinic, leadership of teams and new projects and services, management control, risk and quality, data protection and related audits.

Previously, I worked at Loulé Hospital, H.L. – Hospital de Loulé, S.A., between October 2012 and March 2022. I started as a financial trainee in the finance department, having remained in that department until the end of 2017 with the main functions of billing service to health insurers, external invoicing control, and debt management. In January 2018, I created new services in the company, from scratch, and started new functions as a management and development controller for Power Business Intelligence, risk, and quality system (ISO 9001:2015) and data protection.

Since there, I have developed my experience in Quality Management by ISO 9001:2015, development, analysis, testing and monitoring of information systems for management control (such as Business Intelligence) advanced use of Microsoft Office (word, excel, etc.), monitoring, analysis, and reporting of financial and production kpi's from various sectors, and data protection management.

I have a good experience (10 years) in technological, strategic, financial, quality, risk, audit, data protection and administrative environment in hospitals and clinics, and in embracing new projects from scratch. I created, with IT colleagues, a Business Intelligence financial system to monitor, report and analyze (daily, weekly, monthly) all data from all services from a hospital, we made the construction, to my analysis, quality testing, power and control of Business Intelligence and Operating Systems Dashboards. I created all the logics to the results I needed, I found ways to a better use from the operational system we had. Before that, I was the responsible from the billing service to health insurers and debt management. I was too responsible for the Construction of the Quality Management System for ISO 9001:2015, internal audits and control and monitoring of risk in company processes and Data Protection. 

I am a responsible, dynamic, and proactive person, assertive and with good communication and leadership skills. I am very objective and aim for efficiency, good at problems resolution and in a business technological environment. I have great pleasure to always learn more with new challenges.
