- Ensuring platform reliability and uptime
- Deploy reliable, redundant, scalable solutions.
- Work with various Cloud Ops, product, and engineering teams to deploy new devices, products, and features.
- Initiate projects for voice platform improvements
- Develop operational processes and standards to increase the reliability of Five9s voice platform
- Deployment of telecom features and devices into Five9's data-center and public cloud environments
- Analyze history of telecom related incidents and work towards new standards and processes to prevent repeat
incidents. - Analyze deployment request for feasibility, size, timeline, and scope
- Work with our global base of Voice Engineers to increase skill levels.
- Create handoffs for new deployments to Five9's operational teams.
- Support operations teams as needed
- Be an advocate for our customers
- B.S. Degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred.
- SIP experience required.
- WebRTC experience a plus
- Cisco certified CCNA engineer a plus.
- 3+ years of experience on a service provider voice network
- Hands on skills with Ribbon SBCs and Ribbon PSXs preferred.
- Documenting solutions with diagrams and proper description
- Project management skills a plus.
- Experience with Ansible is preferred
