Descriçao da oferta As Finance Manager, you will be part of the Country Management Team and report directly to the Group Head of Controlling with a dotted line to the Country General Manager. Your responsibility will be to support the continued expansion of the Group in Portugal in a manner that safeguards the financial integrity, reporting and manage the key risk elements of the expansion.

    Description The Finance Manager is expected to fulfill a broad and pro-active role in ensuring a controlled, effective and sustainable expansion in Portugal.

    Strategic Performance
    Delivering a solid and appealing multi-year strategy for the country within the boundaries set by Head Office; Involved in (multi-store) fill-in acquisitions in local market; Operational Performance
    Make sure the company operating processes (including internal controls) are tailored to local circumstances Overall cost control of local operations (including local procurement) Control, follow-up and authorization of local Real Estate and other (eg IT) IPs Deliver integer management reports pertaining to the country Responsible for the coordination and execution of the (local) year plan and supporting management with regards to set-up of budgets, benchmarks and evaluations Support operations and expansion through strong analytics and pro-active performance management Monitoring of local stock losses, damaged goods Governance, Risk & Compliance

    Acts as the contact person for (local) external relations like auditors and tax authorities in the country Monitoring adherence to the Code of Conduct Responsible for local GAAP and local statutory ledger Responsible for integrity and delivery of local statutory accounts and of local regulatory reporting Responsible for compliance with all local tax laws and regulations including duties Prepare and monitor reports on Risk and Control Self-Assessment and discuss with country management Monitoring of information security (IT controls, adherence to Code of Conduct).

Support Internal Audit when relevant Principal (local) financial point of contact in annual audit process Responsible for local insurance matters (property, liability and medical coverage) Responsible for Solving fraud cases in the country (local fraud managers) Profile Economic/financial degree at academic level and years relevant working experience; Seniority and experience from a similar position in the Retail sector; Solid understanding of Corporate Governance, Risk Management and Internal Control standards; Strong Communicator (writing and oral); Business oriented, dynamic and flexible; Experience from fast growing environments; Fluent (written and verbal) in Portuguese and English.
