    In your role as a General Ledger Senior Analyst:
    Process Ownership

    You will support the General Ledger Team Lead / General Ledger Function Lead with day-to-day operations, you will be responsible for Process Management related activities such as proposing, implementing, monitoring and reporting KPIs and internal controls.

    You will work in a team of domain experts, in which your tasks include, clarification of accounting issues, analysis of errors, initiation of any vital corrections and involvement in process improvement activities or initiatives, if needed with support from the General Ledger Principal Analyst/Team Lead.

    You will take ownership of daily General Ledger transactions and month-end-closing activities and ensure they are recorded in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP quality standards or any other relevant regulations and guidelines.

    You will be expected to collaborate and build strong partnerships with internal and external partners such as regional accounting hubs, local business teams, and other partners within Siemens Energy's local and global communities.

    Listen actively and continuously focused on the stakeholder requests, leading complex and uncertain operational issues, while crucially moving forward in taking ownership of decisions, together with the General Ledger Principal Analyst / Team Lead.

    Share standard methodologies with all relevant partners.
    Escalations & Process Improvement

    With your validated experience, you support the team in all General Ledger accounting issues and are available to the General Ledger Analysts as a competent contact person.

    Proactive proposal or involvement in operational initiatives and exercise curiosity and creativity in suggesting improvement ideas or other valuable solutions.

    How You'll Make an ImpactDaily Operations, Controls and Process Improvements
    As a detail oriented, actively committed and involved General Ledger Senior Analyst you will be responsible for:

    The periodic financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements) in accordance with IFRS, taking into account internal guidelines in various and complex IT systems, adhering to deadlinesPerform Month End activities and reconciliations of accountsAssisting with implementing and documenting new processes and proceduresGeneral housekeeping of General Ledger accountsIntercompany reconciliationsPosting of accruals, provisions, and further relevant GL itemsEnsuring stability in monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities, actively providing support to General Ledger team members as a domain specialist.

    Querying various process related sets of data from multiple sources, through applying technical expertise to extract, compile, analyze and report those optimally.

    You assist with ad-hoc duties required by management to meet the needs of the business.

    Working independently, proactively supporting the General Ledger team members providing feedback for more sophisticated issues to the Principal Analyst / Team Lead.

    You will be responsible for internal controls in General Ledger accounting, also participating in internal and external audit process by providing timely and qualitative information and resolve queries from the auditors (where applicable for the assigned countries/legal entities)You implement and continuously update DTP (Desktop Procedure) documentation for existing and are involved in the creation of DTPs for new processes/variances.

    You are actively involved in finance transformation projects, handling multiple activities through effective prioritization and time management skills. You will also support projects related to General Ledger, Mergers and Acquisitions and ERP migration projects, among others.

    Contributing and engaging in standardizing and automating our workflows and General Ledger processes and our cross-functional processes throughout the company.

    What You BringBachelor's degree in Accounting or related fieldMinimum 3 years of validated experience in Accounting & Finance OperationsGeneral Ledger accounting and IFRS and local GAAP knowledge is preferableGood MS-Office skills (especially in MS-Excel)Good understanding of business processes in SAPExperience in transitions and transformation projects is an advantageWillingness to travel for knowledge transfer, training/workshops, if neededYou are open and communicative in nature as well as fluent English skills complete your profile.
