Fuller has an excellent career opportunity to join its expanding Global Trade Compliance team, offering visibility in the field of import/export compliance strategy and operations.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented professional to support H.B. Fuller's international trade activities as its global business units continue to expand.

This role will enable you to learn about the many exciting aspects of customs and related international regulations and practices.

You will execute on a broad range of Global Trade Compliance matters, including ensuring import and export documents comply with regulatory requirements; managing country of origin determinations to maximize free trade claims, and facilitating sanctions and restricted party screening compliance.

You will work directly with supply chain, logistics, procurement, customer service, regulatory, legal, finance/ tax and business operations to drive trade compliance across business units and the multiple countries where H.B.

Fuller does business. There is flexibility for some remote work as an option.


Principal Duties

  • Conduct analyses of traded goods to determine eligibility for free trade claims.
  • Support global auditing of processes and transactions.
  • Pursue process improvements with SAP and local business teams to ensure transaction documents meet country specific customs requirement.
  • Participate in developing and maintaining compliance procedural documents.
  • Engage in data mining efforts to develop trade profiles for all business units and identify compliance trends and need for corrective action.
  • Support processes optimization via data analytics and contribute to trade compliance metrics.
  • Leverage technology to drive process improvement.
  • Help manage companywide training on various global trade compliance topics.
  • Respond to import and export inquiries.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS/BA in any related fields of Supply Chain/Logistics, International Trade, Economics, Auditing or Business. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • Exceptional problem solving and computer/skillsets.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, with very strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to (or learn how to) navigate SAP.
  • Demonstrated strength in working as a team.
  • Good understanding of how to use assertiveness and diplomacy to achieve results.
  • Highly organized and with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with project management.
  • Ability to understand global impact of regulatory or taxassociated decisions.
